SONGWRITER OF THE YEAR IS CRAIG LANGFORD
Born into a musical family, he grew up with two grand pianos in his living room. He was the Texas All State French horn player but decided to pass on scholarship offers at graduation… and took a left turn to joined the Navy, who, in an incredible stoke of genius, stationed him in Hawaii for his entire tour of duty. H
e played music all over Honolulu until his honorable discharge, and he returned to Texas to begin playing professionally. He subsequently moved his family to Nashville, where he toured with artists like Trisha Yearwood/Garth Brooks.
While he still loves playing in bands, songwriting has grown to be a large part of his musical passion. He enjoys boating, working on his old truck, doing string instrument repair, and spending time with his four grown children and three grandchildren! Here is our Songwriter of the Year, Craig Langford.
